Local motorcyclists are preparing to ride over 100 miles on Sunday, October 2, in the seventh annual Dave Mungenast Sr. Memorial Bike and Badge Ride.
At 9am, all participants will meet and register at Mungenast Motorsports and then take to the streets around 11:30am and ride to Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
Since 2005, the Dave Mungenast Sr. Memorial Bike and Badge Ride has been held to benefit the BackStoppers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing financial assistance and support to the spouses and children of fallen police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty. Over the last six years, more than $150,000 has been raised at the ride and donated to the group.
To participate in this year’s event, you must pay the $25 registration fee, have a street legal bike, a valid motorcycle license, and desire to ride with other fellow enthusiasts who support a noble cause.
If you are a non-rider, please feel free to join other participants in downtown Ste. Genevieve.
